Track Meet track2.jpg

Murray students excelled at the California State Games for Track and Field in July.  Fifth grader Elizabeth Dominguez  won the silver medal in the long jump, while third grader Angelina Martinez captured the bronze medal in the mini turbo javelin throw.

Helping Others

Murray students raised $3000 in change for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society's Pennies for Patients cancer research program, which helps fund breakthrough therapies and patient services. Mr. Riggs's 4th grade class raised the most money and as a reward, the entire class threw whipped cream pies at Principal Valdez and student council advisor Mr. Acosta.

Message from Principal Norma Camacho

I am thrilled to be part of the Murray family.  Together, we will create a year of excellence for our children as we focus on improving student and family engagement, and creating and maintaining a culture of high expectations. We will continue to deepen our understanding of the Common Core State Standards in English Language Arts and Mathematics, the Next Generation Science Standards, the English Language Development Framework, and the best practices in fostering a safe and inclusive learning environment.

The Murray staff and I are here to serve you.  If at any time you have a question, comment or suggestion, please feel free to call or stop by the office.   We are looking forward to a great school year! Together, we can provide your children with an outstanding school experience that will truly make a difference in their lives.
